active woman that I am, I thought nothing of the lump I had just
discovered in my right breast at age 40. My counselor insisted on
a mammogram (my first one) and an ultrasound. The tests showed I
had breast cancer, and my life was changed forever. I reflect back
on all that has happened to me, and thank God, my family and the
